Getting The Topic In The Mainstream, Just Another Thread For The Weave
Nxivm leader Keith Raniere was slammed with 120 years behind bars Tuesday for running a twisted sex-slave cult where women were branded like cattle and forced to sleep with him.
The 60-year-old sicko — who billed himself as a Ghandi for lost professionals, only to be unmasked as a sex-abusing torturer to scores of young women — had faced as little as 15 years on seven felony charges ranging from sex-trafficking to racketeering, child pornography and forced labor.
Raniere was sentenced in Brooklyn federal court after some of his victims gave statements about their suffering at his hands, including his first sex slave — who finally broke her silence to tell the judge how the cult leader took her virginity at age 15.
At his trial in 2019, other former Nxivm members testified that they were turned into sex slaves for the lecherous leader, branded above their genitals with his initials, put on starvation diets and forced to pleasure him.
Several other senior Nxivm devotees have pleaded guilty for their roles in the Albany-based organization — including “Smallville” actress Allison Mack and Seagram’s liquor heiress Clare Bronfman. Bronfman was sentenced to more than six years behind bars last month.
