The Narrative Strikes Back… CV19 Is The Foundation For The narrative Plan A
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said President Trump should not be politicizing his COVID-19 recovery when it was announced that he will return to the White House after three days at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
“He should not be dealing with it politically to make it look like he overcame the virus because he’s had such good policies. Because, in fact, he has been very destructive and dangerous to the country,” the California Democrat said.
Pelosi added that Trump could “become a long-hauler,” meaning a person diagnosed with COVID-19 who deals with longer-term effects from the illness. She also wondered about the level to which the president dictates what is released by doctors about his condition.
“I hope that we could trust them, but what is disconcerting is that we know that the president’s physicians present a report that must be approved by the president,” the speaker said. “That’s not scientific. That is not what the public is owed about the state of health of the president of the United States.”
Trump was taken to Walter Reed on Friday after testing positive for COVID-19. Others in his orbit, including first lady Melania Trump, have also been in quarantine since they received positive test results. Trump announced on Monday that after three days, he will be moved back to the White House from Walter Reed later in the evening.
“Though he may not be entirely out of the woods yet, the team and I agree that all our evaluations, and most importantly his clinical status, support the president’s safe return home, where he’ll be surrounded by world-class medical care 24/7,” said White House physician Dr. Sean Conley during a Monday news conference.
