A pastor from Texas was arrested last week for child pornography violations, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, after an investigation with their special agents.
They said the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the case.
ICE said 48-year-old David Pettigrew was arrested Thursday, August 6 for transporting child porn.
Court documents show Pettigrew came to the attention of law enforcement through referrals sent by two electronic surveillance providers and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The referrals identified a computer user who uploaded suspected child porn onto their online platforms, documents show.
ICE’s Homeland Security Investigations executed federal search warrants at Pettigrew’s home and the Denison Church of the Nazarene, after which, agents arrested Pettigrew on August 6.
According to the Herald Democrat, Pettigrew is a pastor at the church. The newspaper reported he has been a pastor since 2006 and was ordained as an elder in the Church of the Nazarene in 2004.
